Globalization at Work in Washington, DC

A respectable Malaysian restaurant in downtown DC turns into a Bulgarian chalga club some Saturday nights. I really wanted to see this phenomenon for myself but unfortunately missed the party last Saturday. Don't know if I will get another opportunity, but just found the concept semi-ridiculous and at the same time intriguing. Talk about cultural crossover... :)

haha,
tell me which restaurant that is, so that I can scrupulously avoid it...

It's Penang on M and 19th. But I think you should actually go check it out and report back... since I won't be able to :)

haha...I wouldn't dare, this is not for the faint of heart.
I wouldn't last 5 minutes in there, chalga is like kryptonite for me.
Next time you come to DC we can go together, if you promise to keep it strictly for investigative purposes...no participation allowed. :)

Alright, you've got a deal :), strictly for investigative/people-watching purposes. I'll keep an ear out for when these "events" are taking place
